Geocache Description:


The Eastern Sierras have always been one of my favorite summer get away areas. Coenciding with my 1 year anniversary as a Geocacher I've decided to place a cache with an outstanding view of the Mono Basin. To get to the cache site you will need a four wheel drive vehicle. The first part of the trail is easy, but as you get to the top the trail gets rougher. From Hwy 395 go east on Hwy 120 to the Log Cabin Mine Rd. Coming to a fork in the road turn left as the road to the right is gated. The trail itself is not long, less than 5 miles to the top, but can get a bit steep. You will be searching for a 30 cal. ammo can at an altitude of about 9700 feet. Happy caching!
