Geocache Description:

C.A.M.’s Cache - Key Vista Park, rural trail

Three young Cachers from Pinellas and Pasco Countys created this Cache. Two of which are also very active with Scouts. This cache is just a few fun items that the kids thought would make a great cache. We hope you love it as much as they did making it.

This cache is located off a smaller trail in the Key vista Nature Park. The park is open from dusk till dawn. It is in a very nice rural section of the park with lots of trails and lots of Nature. There are lots of critters that sting and Bite (snakes) so please use caution when looking for the Cache. The cache is in a section of the preserve we nicknamed the “Falling Forest”. There are several trees that have fallen and a few that are leaning pretty well. The tree you see C.A.M. on is a good hint that you are within a few feet. The cache is a larger ammo can hidden in the same place most other ammo cans in FL are hidden. About 8-10 feet off the main trial right by the fallen tree the kids are sitting on.

Oh side note, be careful of the scorpions ”C” almost sat on the one below, he discovered it just after we took the picture.  He was playing with the bark on the fallen tree, and WOW, Cool look a Scorpion. It made for a good lesson on habitats and why we don’t even take bark off a fallen tree.  I have to admit, I had never seen a live scorpion in the wild before, and though it was pretty awesome.
