The cache is located in the Headgates at Savannah Rapids Park.

Cache

The cache is a standard OD green ammo can with an Official GEOCACHING.COM sticker. Park at vicinity LAT/LNG N33° 32.970 W082° 02.426 . You can get a good strip map at Augustacanal.com.
Although the cache is only a ½ mile roundtrip walk I have rated this a 3 for terrain due to its proximity to the cliffs overlooking the falls. This dramatic terrain is also the reason why this is a spectacular and unexpected place.

Please be cautious while walking along the cliffs overlooking the falls. The cache is far enough from the falls that you should not have to navigate by GPS close to the edge.
