Geocache Description:

The cache is at the Pebble Beach Forest Service Recreation Area. The view of Kootenay Lake from here is breathtaking.

You can get to the cache by car & hiking, or by boat. Park your boat on the Pebbly beach & it is a short scramble over rocks to the cache. By car & foot drive north of Riondel on the paved road to Tam O'Shanter Creek - here the paved road ends. Continue on the gravel road for 2.6 km - the trail starts here & is marked with a large sign. The trail takes about 20 minutes to get you down to the beach. It is steep in spots. There has been some logging at the trailhead, but it doesn't last long. There is a great view of the lake and a bench to sit on part way along the trail.
