Geocache Description:

A 1.7 km level trail along the Fraser River starting at Fort Langley.

This walk/bike will take you from downtown Fort Langley along the 'Fort To Fort' trail. We would like the cache trade items to remain fishing lures and/or audio cd's. If not prepared, please just sign the log book. Park at the above coordinates and walk onto the 1st deck to find out how many acres Jacob Haldi took up in this area. 2nd deck coordinates= N49 10 xxx W122 35 yyy. Add 340 to Haldi's acres to calculate the missing latitude; and subtract 94 to calculate the missing longtitude. Stay north of the railroad tracks to find the trailhead behind the pub.Upon arriving at the 2nd deck calculate how many years transpired between the last Mt Baker eruption and the last Mt St. Helens eruption. The cache is located at N49 10.xxx W122 35.yyy. Add 858 to the transpired years for the missing latitude, and add 300 for the missing longtitude. If you have time, this trail continues past this cache location and links up to the original Fort To Fort cache sight. Watch for beavers along the banks and paddlers in the channel.
