Geocache Description:

This cache is located just outside the chain link fenced area of the Mountain Green, UT Cemetery. As you leave the paved road (Trappers Loop-167)on to the dirt road, you may encounter a closed gate. Just open and drive up the dirt road. Just remember to leave the gate the way you find it; open or closed. If the gate is locked then you will need to enter the Cemetery from the LDS Church Parking lot below.

The cache is where it should be. Trust your GPS and instincts. Don't be fooled. There is a Blue Spruce Tree and memorial white rock with Phil's name on it near the upper gate of the Cemetery. The cache is NOT under the Blue Spruce in front of the cemetery. You are still several feet away.

This cache is contained in a green ammo can. From this location you have a beautiful view of Weber Canyon and the green valley below.

Phil is our brother and is buried in the Mt. Green Cemetery. See the hint if you want to locate Phil’s headstone. Phil's life was taken on August 29, 1996 in an accident when he worked on a special effects crew filming a motion picture (Con Air) in Wendover, UT. The movie credits say "In the Memory of Phillip Swartz" at the very end of the movie. Our family misses him greatly and this cache was placed as a memorial to him.

The cemetery is always open from dawn to dusk. You will not need to enter the fenced cemetery up on the hill to find this cache. Please be respectful if you happen upon a funeral and maybe come back another time.
