Discovered this spot over 10 years ago when my dad, brother and I hiked through the brush in search of the perfect fishing hole. When we found this spot we thought we had dreamed and gone to heaven. We attached as much lead as we had with us to our fishing line, sunk the bait to the bottom, and caught a whole string of fish. Unfortunately, my dad had forgotten his fishing license at home and after 2 hours of hiking and locating this spot, the warden picked up our trail, found us sitting below this massive rock, and had a little talk with my pops! $90 later he packed up his pole and we enjoyed a little swim in the refreshing water. Today, fishing was poor and swimming was better than ever. Ideal spot for hanging out for the day, but little kids need to be watched carefully. The 5yr old Wee Fritzel made the hike, but there was a lot of hand-holding along the way.
