Great Scott! It's back! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

berryzang: Well, after having a cache here in the same spot for over a year and a half, I'm archiving this today. The cache and it's 'camouflage', the head of a shovel, were both removed at 4:30 PM. Thanks to all that visited!!

Geocache Description:

Some of the trails in the park have been paved, but there are others that haven't and they can be very muddy when wet. Some can also be cut off with water so be careful. Suggested parking is at N42° 42.251' W84° 31.955'. The parking area is closed from 9PM to 6AM. If you want a longer hike, you can park at Hawk Island, but be careful because their parking lot (as well as the park) closes and locks their gates at dusk.

Well I just couldn't let my Great Scott! multicache die. After Stage 2 went missing I archived the cache. But the park kept calling to me, and after a couple months I decided to put another cache back in Scott Woods Park. The cache is in a 5-pound coffee can, so keep that in mind while looking. Only decode the spoiler if you are having a difficult time finding the cache, as it might give away the location.

I would like this cache to have an automotive theme. The initial contents are 2 Travel Bugs (Beige Bug and a Yellow Jeep), some Hot Wheels cars, and some beads from Mardi Gras 2004 (I have no idea what they have to do with cars, but they're in there). Please try to keep this theme going if you can.

Update - As of fall of 2006 the Lansing River Trail has been extended into here. Some trails have been paved, and now this cache is accessible by bike/rollerblading/walking from downtown.

Good luck and have fun!
