Geocache Description:

Park hours are 6am-10pm. Pets must be on leash where marked. Cache container is a large (50 cal) ammo can.

Other than a few roads and nearby Paine Field, this area in the early 60's was mostly forest and swamp land. That would soon change in 1966, when Boeing made the decision to build it's new 747 here on a 780 acre site. 200 million dollars and 4.5 million cubic yards of moved dirt later (that's more dirt than what was moved to construct the Grand Coulee Dam), the 747 factory was complete.
1960 Today

One area where some of that forest still exists is at the eastern end of Kasch Park. Dedicated in 1985 for Bill Kasch, a founder of Little League in Everett, the park now includes lighted softball, little league and soccer fields. The park entrance is located off of Airport Road; alternative access to the park can be found at 18th Ave.
