The US Army Corps of Engineers (property management) has issued a warning for several of the islands and surrounding lake property to be off limits during, November 6, 2026 through December 21, 2026 . These properties are only available to registered hunters.
It's not acceptable to alter your 'found it' log date to outside the ban period and still visit the geocache during the geocaching ban. Again, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS GEOCACHE!
Please be a good geocaching citizen and do not visit this geocache or the property where the container is located during this time period. This will help ensure a great geocaching relationship between the USACE & geocachers. This ban will provide a better and safer quota hunt for USACE and hunters.
CO's, please find time to note on your listing pages your geocache is closed during the end of October through the middle of December each year, so out of state visitors will be able to make better plans for their visits.
