Spring Valley Trail is owned by and located behind John Wood
Community College. This beautiful and little known trail is open to
the public but, you are requested to sign the log book at the trail
head.
Also located at the trail head are maps of the area with a
numbered identification guide to the flowers and trees located
along the trail.
Much of the trail is simply a dirt path however, the trail to
the cache is covered with wood chips & will get you close to
the cache which is a camouflaged rubber maid container. Please put
it back just as you found it so it doesn't disappear again.
Along the trail you will find numbered wooden posts near some of
the trees which correspond to the numbers in your guide.
Also, along the trail you will find a beautiful butterfly
garden. There you will find a box containing a guide to some of the
butterflies that may be encountered.
Wild life that may be observed include, birds, rabbits,
squirrels, deer, turkey, frogs & if you're really lucky you may
even see a snake.
Near the cache site you will find a park bench overlooking a
beautiful natural spring.
This is the 2nd cache i've set up on this campus. The other is a
multi cache called "The Governor's Tour" and the first waypoint, a
statue of John Wood is located near the main building. There are
also 2 other caches placed by Moo Cows, Cicada Or Locust & Oops
Missed The Turn.
Have fun as always & God bless!
