There seem to be
some problems with the software on the website where the webcam is
housed. For the time being, please use this new
link or this link, which are housed on a different
server, temporarily, until the software issues can be
resolved.
Thanks for your
patience.
WHERE IS IT? This webcam is
overlooking quiet, little Coronation Park in Grimsby, Ontario,
Canada. The park features a swimming pool at the opposite end of
the park, and a pathway through a treed area facing Main Street
West.
WHAT TO WEAR? Our goal here
is to “crank it up” on this quiet town by having you show us how
LOUD you can be. Visually that is. In order to have your “find”
approved, we NEED to see a webcam image of you wearing a LOUD
shirt. Bright colours, gawdy logos, the louder the better. (race
fan apparel is acceptable) A sampling of what we would consider
LOUD shirts is shown in the image below. Some folks have actually
gone out and purchased a shirt to wear for this cache, so, if you
wear a plain, boring, quiet type shirt, your post will probably be
deleted.
HOW TO LOG IT? As with other
web cam caches, you will need a partner near a computer to record
the image(s) of you standing in front of the webcam wearing your
loud shirt and holding your GPS. Tell your partner to go to
internet web site Niagara West Tourism
(http://www.niagarawesttourism.com/), and record the image.
For best reults, we recommend that you DO NOT LEFT-CLICK
on the image to enlarge it. Some people have reported problems with
the image failing to update after opening the larger (but blurrier)
image. It is MUCH better to RIGHT-CLICK on the image and "save
image as" to save the image to your computer. This will result
in the best quality image.
You can also do a full screen capture, but, the resulting image
will be of lower quality as the image is squished to make it fit
the web page layout.
You must post a copy of that image with your log. If you do a
full screen grab, please crop the image to only show the webcam
image, not all of the other stuff on the web page.
Note: Please make sure that your LOUD SHIRT is family friendly,
with no “adult” content, or offensive language or graphics on
it.
