FDNY260: it appears the terrain has changed and the cache has once again been plundered, due to health conditions, i can not get down to replace the cache so i will archive this and hope someone puts a new cache in the area

Geocache Description:

Cedar Beach nature trail

This is a beautiful site, it is a nature trail located at cedar beach. There is a beautiful view of the sound and on a clear day you can see CT. Trail is paved so anyone can do it (cache is about 20' from path). Cache is a rubbermaid container 4x4x1 with a clear top. the difficulty is a 2 because the container is hard to visit because this is a very highly traveled area. There is also a parking fee during the summer if you're not a Brookhaven resident but it is well worth it if you spend the day. there are basketball courts and a playground for the kiddies. A great pier to fish from or just to watch the boats come and go. Excellent place to watch the sun set, and the nature trail is pristine. There is poison ivy by the cache and I think I saw some on the way in so please be careful. because this is such a highly traveled area, please hide cach well when your finished. thanks
