Geocache Description:

Cache is located on the shores of Lough Ree. Access is easy, through maintained footpaths in a scenic area. It may get a little muddy, but then it is in Ireland!!

This cache was hidden with the assistance of several accomplices while I was on vacation in Ireland. I live in Canada, but visit this area occasionally. The cache contains a log book and pen, Canada flag pin, and a Canadian ‘Looney’ (1$ coin), butterfly book mark, Irish souvenir, key chain, and other valuable stuff!!From Athlone, take the N55 to Glasson. As you leave Glasson, turn left for Portlick at N53° 29.600 / W 007° 54.054. Follow the signs to Portlick Amenity area. Parking is provided at N53° 29.495’ / W007° 55.017’ You are 0.6 Km from the cache.
