This cache has been archived.

West Texas Reviewer: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so the cache is being archived to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If the owner wishes to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 30 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the West Texas Reviewer.

Geocache Description:

A special thanks goes to Honeychile for allowing me to copy her Chinese letterbox caches in North Carolina, and for all the wisdom she has shared with me. This is the first of the Chinese letterboxes in the Lubbock area.

Letterbox caches are a type of cache in which stamps are collected and shared...kind of like having your passport stamped. Inside the letterbox, you will find a notebook and stamp. This is a hybrid letterbox cache so it includes some swag as well.

Letter boxers carry their own personalized stamp, stamp pad and a logbook. Once the letterbox is found, the hunter leaves his/her mark -usually a hand crafted stamp- and collects the cache's stamp in a logbook.

In this cache we have left a stamp. Stamp our logbook with your stamp and stamp your book with ours. If you want to participate but don't want to bring a stamp, we accept drawings, stickers, inked fingerprints, or your dog's paw print! Please leave our stamp with the cache, also don’t forget to sign the log. May the force be with you!

One of the Chinese symbols for wisdom is the dragon. Dragons were believed to ward off evil spirits. Look at a Chinese city and you’ll see dragons decorating ancient monuments and buildings, sometimes playing with a pearl or thunder-ball. You can also see dragons on the garments of ancient Chinese generals. The Emperor alone had nine of them on his brocade. Who would need more wisdom than one who rules?

Job 12:13 With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6 - 7 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity
