Old Runway

This cache was placed in conjunction with the High Desert Pizza Bash and Cache. This cache is placed close to one of the old runways of the original Apple Valley Airport. From the cache site you can see many points of interest from Apple Valley history, these include the original Roy Rogers Museum, the Newt Bass Hill House where a James Bond movie was filmed, and of course the World Famous Apple Valley Inn. There were numerous Benchmarks close by. Now the Airport is gone and been replaced by a Super Target and a Lowes, the original cache was placed in a bush now the cache is a micro and magnetic. The building may throw your GPS off so use your geosense. Be sure and bring a pencil and watch out for the muggles. Check out the link for more airport information.
