Eagle Watch Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Lightphoto: It has been an emotional struggle coming to the conclusion that I needed to archive Eagle Watch. For whatever the reason, the forest circus....er, the forest service has decided to abandon the Red Buck Trail from Council Lake to Fish Lake that provided reasonable access to the cache. This has been such a beautiful experience for many cachers over the years. Unfortunately, without the trail access, it has become more challenge than I desire to properly maintain this cache. Thanks for the many wonderful comments of the experiences cachers have had over the years. That is what I truly hoped for when the cache was originally placed several years ago.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in an open area of a rather hilly forest. If properly planned, this cache will be found near a hike/bike trail. Cache was inspired by comments at the recent UP Meet and Greet.

If you enter this cache area quietly, you may have a chance to see eagles, kingfishers or otters fishing in the nearby waters. Fall colors create a brilliant view if visiting near the end of September or early October.
Original contents include:
wire nuts
International Geocaching Social patch
Film canister with a zip-loc inside
brochures
