This cache is located on the shores of beautiful Shining Bank Lake.
I decided to place this cache on a visit to see my dad. Shining Bank Lake takes its name from the Shining Bank Hills. At the end of this range of hills is a large cut bank that faces the lake and does, indeed, "shine" on a clear sunny day. I grew up in the shadow of these hills so it wasn't hard for me to find a good site for the cache. Drive to the Shining Bank Lake Campground (not the day use area). Park and walk towards the playground equipment. Your GPS should easily take you the rest of the way.
