Geocache Description:

The first traditional cache in Woodruff Utah.

To claim credit for this cache, either send me a pic of you at the site or tell me what man made object you see when looking south.

My paternal Grandparents lived in a log cabin just 100 yards from this site. The cabin is long since gone and replaced with a field. I remember coming here as a child and marveling at how my Grandparents lived. It was like going back in time. They had no electricity, no indoor plumbing, no furnace, no refridgerator. Their life was simple and hard. My Grandfather milked a herd of cows by hand every morning and evening and my Grandmother cooked three meals a day on a wood burning cook stove. I always thought it great fun to go to the pump in the yard and pump the handle to get water to carry into the house. Sometimes my Grandmother would make cream puffs and what a treat they were.

This cache is a tribute to Charles and Alma Dean.
