NEDERLANDS: Een avontuurlijk wandeling van 4 km.
Doffe
weersomstandigheden met sneeuw, wind en slechte zichtbaarheid
deden het geallieerde offensief vastlopen in de Ardennen.
Duizenden soldaten geraakten ingesneeuwd, met gebrek aan
proviand, wapens en munitie.
Hoe spreek je met elkaar als je geen lawaai mag maken of geen
gebruik mag maken van elektronische middelen zoals telefoon of
zendapparatuur?
In de scheepvaart heeft men er een eenvoudig middel op gevonden.
Hiermee kan je tijdens deze cache kennis maken.
Jij acteert hier als Tom
Rock, 1ste sergeant van de Easy Company 2/502. Draag zorg voor
uw manschappen en laat hen niet in de steek.
Zoek een andere groep die simultaan met u de cache "Spearhead"
loopt en met u kan samenwerken en ook op uw steun mag rekenen.
Zonder hen kan uw missie niet slagen.
Start op N 49°45.218 - E 005°15.143 en loop via
onderstaande waypoints naar WP3, een andere route is
onmogelijk!
Daar zal u informatie vinden die erg belangrijk is voor uw
kameraden aan de overkant. Van hen zal u ook de nodige gegevens
ontvangen voor uw verdere tocht en het vinden van de cache.

Op het gegeven waypoint zal u een kist vinden met inhoud. Te
allen tijde dient deze inhoud bewaard te blijven! Respecteer daarom
het bezit van anderen!
OPGELET: Bij het zoeken van deze cache komt u op plaatsen
die gevaarlijk kunnen zijn. Hou daarom kinderen bij de hand en kijk
goed uit waar je loopt. Blijf te allen tijde op de wandelpaden.

A cause de conditions météo abominables, avec de la neige, du
vent et une visibilité médiocre, l'offensive alliée s'embourba dans
les Ardennes. Des milliers de soldats se retrouvèrent pris dans la
neige, sans nourriture, sans armes et sans munitions.
Comment faire pour communiquer sans faire de bruit, et sans
utiliser des moyens électroniques ou techniques tels le téléphone
ou un radio émetteur ?
Dans la marine, on utilise un moyen assez simple. C'est celui-ci
que nous vous proposons de découvrir en faisant cette cache
!

". Occupez-vous bien de vos hommes, et ne les laissez pas
tomber.
Cherchez un autre groupe qui fera la cache "Spearhead" en même
temps que vous faites celle-ci, et liez contact.
Sans leur collaboration, votre mission ne pourra pas
réussir.
Démarrez à N 49°45.218 - E 005°15.143 et allez au WP 3 en
suivant les waypoints ci-dessous. C'est la seule route
possible!
Là, vous trouverez une information vitale pour vos amis d'en face.
De leur côté, ils disposent d'informations de première importance
pour vous permettre de continuer et de trouver la cache.

sentiers.
ENGLISH: An adventurous walk of 4 km.
Bad weather, snow, wind and bad visibility halted the allied
offensive in the Ardennes. Thousands of soldiers were snowed in
without food, weapons or ammo. How do you speak with one another if
you can’t make noise or use any electronic device ? In the navy
they found a simple way to do it. You can get to know it during
this cache.
You’re acting as Tom Ridge, 1st sergeant of Easy Company 2/502.
Take care of your men and don’t leave them behind.
Try to find another company that wants to walk the “Spearhead”
cache simultaneaously and with whom you can cooperate. Without
them, you will not be able to complete your mission.

following waypoints to WP3. There is no other route possible. There
you will find information that’s important for your comrades at the
other side. They will in turn give you the information that you
need to complete your mission.
