Pickle Park Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Neos 1: I no longer am able to maintain this cache as I don't get up this way like I did in my former job. Therefore I am archiving this cache. Thanks to everyone that visited this, my first ever cache. It was a really good run. Hopefully someone that lives nearer will put a new cache here. This rest area is big enough for at least 2 more caches and is in an excellent location.

Geocache Description:

Cache is in the southbound I-71/75 rest area near Walton Ky. Most of the distance from the parking area is lawn- like. The last few feet may require a little bushwhacking. (Less than 20 feet.)

Most anyone who has been around the freight transportation industry or has seen old Burt Reynolds movies knows that truck drivers speak a language of their own. They have colorful names or euphemisms for all kinds of things from food and fuel to different types of vehicles and places. One such euphemism is pickle park for rest area. Without going into detail, this name came about because of some of the extracirricular activites that have been known to occur occasionally at rest areas. So with that in mind we bring you the Pickle Park Cache. Cache is a large ammo can covered in camo tape. The original contents include: logbook and pencil, wooden puzzle w/ directions, smiley magnet, 2 postcards , magnetic clip, compass biner/ keyring, marbles, notepad keyring, magnifying glass, 3 rubber balls, rain poncho, guitar pick, 2 geodes from Lawerence co. IN, a chunk of fools gold.
