Night Time Cache

Finally found a place to put a night time cache. Most parks around here limit access to daytime hours but there are no restrictions here. Park at the lot by the Gazebo at N 29o 35.069'  W 095o 00.285'. There is a wide crushed rock trail on both sides of the bayou. Take the trail on the west side. At the above coordinates look westward for the first reflective marker. There is a well defined dirt trail that leads west. After going towards the first marker start looking for the reflective markers. You will go from a human trail to a pond with lotus blossoms. From there you will be following animal trails for a bit. Well, actually for quite awhile. The cache is covered with sticks and stuff at the base of a tree but the markers make an arrow pointing down at it. How easy could this be?

Be sure to mark where you enter the dirt trail and have your track back feature on. It is easy to get lost back here in the daytime, much less at night. We actually ended up going behind the pond and ended up a couple of hundred yards further north down the crushed rock trail on the way out.

Yes, you could probably find the markers in the daytime but that would take all the fun away and take much longer anyway. So do it at night and beware of the tree monsters in the area.

Among the other stuff in the cache are TexasGeocaching tokens #0008 through #0011.
Have fun and be safe.
