Finding this cache, close to a parking, will give you a taste to what Venabygdsfjellet can offer. The cache location and coordinates where changed slighly 4th of august 2005, due to building activity close to the original spot.
Welcome to our year-round paradise at Venabygdsfjellet. Venabygdsfjellet lies in the mountains of Eastern Norway, half way between Oslo & Trondheim, or an hour north of Lillehammer. The area is known as Rondane South, lying just south of Norway's first National Park, RONDANE. In the summer one finds a network of marked footpaths in varied terrain, and this snow sure area is well known for its splendid nature and excellent ski terrain. The area has network of 140kms of marked and prepared tracks, in varied, gentle mountain terrain, with mountain tops up to 1400m asl.
The cache is accesible also in winter-time. The area may look a bit private, but it is not. The nearby cabins are for rent, and since a great deal of the visitors are foreign guests at the hotel or cabins the the cache should be a good place for TBs who wants to travel abroad.
Please remember! Do not disturb the lodger(leieboer)on the upper floor.
