The cache is located on the shores of Lough Gill, just inside the Sligo border. Be as discreet as possible as you will be in view of the passing traffic. A visit to Parkes Castle which is just about 1.5km from the cache is reccommended. In November 2007, during the Lough Gill Stage of the World Rally Marcus Gronholm crashed his Ford Focus just feet from the cache site. This place has since been christined Gronholms Demise.
The cache is contained in a NEW specimen sample bottle and contains a small pencil stub and a sheet to log your visit.Enjoy.
