An out of the way valley Traditional Cache

This cache is at the end of a reasonably steep 200 metre walk, it's not too bad to walk down but i don't think most of us could rike a bike back up it. There's another wrinkle, the local bush authority in it's wisdom blocks the access road for the winter months and doesn't unlock the gate before December 15 (that should be a clue for the locals). So i'ts a case of adding an easy 1km walk from the gate.
The cache is a standard clear plastic lunch box with a blue snap on lid. It's not hard to find, when you get to the coordinates you'll find a lookout platform. It's tucked away under the south side. One thing that might make it a little hard is finding the turnoff from the sealed road. To make it a little easier here are the coordinates for the turnoff. S38 07.052 E146 27 145.There's a speco view on the way to this cache, you'll pass it at S38 08.241 E146 28.808. February 2006. The recent Moondarra / Erica fires were in this area. I don't think they got as far as this cache but a short drive further up the road shows plenty of evidence of how close it all came. March 2014 The cache has been restored :-) Be the first to find the new one!
