This cache sits atop the Sanpete County Highpoint - South Tent
Mountain. Elevation here is 11,285 feet. Cache container is an ammo
box.
The three os us hiked to the top of East Mountain earlier in the
day, and I sat atop that summit contemplating how much better the
view probably was from the top of THIS mountain, about 500 feet
higher in elevation. When I later learned that Dorkteam was
planning to hike it the next day, I (bunkerdave) decided to help
move that plan up a little, and join him for the adventure. It was
not long before that itch had spread to another infamous cacher,
Mockba, and we all set out to climb and cache. It took about an
hour and a half to get to where we parked, and then only about an
hour or so to complete our hike. I drove my subaru very close to
the summit, but there is a steep climb to the top. Figure about
1000 feet in a half mile or so.
