This is a traditional cache placed among Rampart Lakes which are reached by hiking past the scenic and popular Rachel Lake.
This is a traditional cache (green ammo box) placed on a knoll among the Rampart Lakes. The site is reached by hiking in from the Rachel Lake trailhead (exit 62 off I-90). The hike is 10 miles r.t. with approx 2000' elevation gain. There are lots of tent sites around Rachel Lake and Rampart Lakes so this hike could be made into an overnighter. The initial contents of the cache included a camera for self pics, log book and few pieces of treasure: crayons, lighter, Red Hook key chain, stuffed green lizard.
