Geocache Description:

Come visit a small section if the Iron Horse Trail in sunny Alamo. This multi-cache is easily accessed by bicycling, roller blading, jogging or just plain old strolling along. With this said, bring the family and fido to find this cache as it is a nicely paved horizontal path.

WalruZ: Wow, I don't believe it! A TeamAlamo Iron Horse cache with only a 1* difficulty rating.

LeChuck: That Diet Pepsi must have gone to his brain! All that caffeine. Hey dad, you better check the terrain rating.

WalruZ: Argh, I should have known better. Maybe no one will notice it if we squeeze our red bug thru the posts, it already shows caching damage........

LeChuck: ... but Da'ad, I'm tired, I need a Coke ...

WalruZ: My friend, indeed! This is the thank you I get for giving him some of my new log-only micros. Just sit down and read the friggin' plaque.

If you also get tired, you have several opportunities to take a load off, kick back and enjoy the passing scenery. Parking is available at several intersections and it looks like a formal parking lot nearing completion at N37 52.700 W122 03.000. All the information you need will be at the rest stops, so head on out to the first one.

Stage 2 N37 52.ABC W122 02.DEF

ABC = Age + 9, D = Last digit of birth year, EF = Age - 2

Stage 3 N37 52.GHI W122 02.JKL

GHI = 40* Age (round up) + 15, JKL= DEF + GHI - 91

The Iron Horse trail is a multi-use, whole-access trail between the cities of Concord and Dublin follows the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way established in 1891 and abandoned in 1977. For more information visit the East Bay Parks Website at:
