Geocache Description:

Access by crossing the dam at the Highway 2 Government Dam Campground or from Co. Rd. 63 gated access. Enjoy looking for an unusual site deep in the woods linked by trails through the Wildlife Management Area to two parks and the mighty Mississippi River roaring nearby.

Original cache owner modeled this after the "Thompson Hill TB Hotel" in Duluth but it is apparently too far off from the railroad or highway to be a convenient drop off. Ammo box disappeared in 2016 so it was replaced with large peanut butter container.

Sit atop the rock and let your GPS settle down. Imagine how this land form anomaly came to be. Follow the tree trunk over the edge to the geo-aligned logs.
