This is a puzzle cache that I have placed to celebrate the newest addition to Bellingham's walking path/trail system. The terrain rating has been raised, as there is about a mile of walking.
Go to the coordinates listed above, then follow the clues given in the poem below.
Walk way out on the dock, don't step down on the stair.
You won't find my cache on the beach, it is surely not there.
Take a walk, take a walk, on the dock that is new.
Take your time, smell the air, enjoy the salt water view.
You can go by yourself, you will not need a crew.
The distance is two tenths, the heading is 195 true.
Go out to a place where you might hold a wedding.
To rhyme a word like that would be real tough sledding.
There's a platform on the dock, it's large and it's flat.
Come on now, look hard, you'll know where it's at!
At the bottom of a post, at the top of a stair.
There is a small space, and the cache - it is there.
It is right there hiding in its own little nook.
It is not by a lake, it is not by a brook.
If you look close, there is a cute little cranny.
Not owned by your aunt, or even your granny.
The cache it is small, it is called a micro.
It won't hold a pen, or even some sterno. (groan)
Stoop down real low, you might have to kneel.
When you find it don't yell, do not even squeal.
The crowds here are large; There are muggles about.
So keep yourself quiet, don't scream and don't shout.
Sign your name in my log, and use your own pen.
And when you are done - Well - put it back then!
Then rest your feet, sit back, eat a snack.
And enjoy the view before you start back.
In this rhyming I've done, sometimes I got nervous.
