Geocache Description:

Bring your binoculars and camera!

Thomsons Lake is an important area for migratory waterbirds, especially waders. In winter, there are more birds on the wetland, but parts of the trail become waterlogged. In summer the trail is drier and more accessible, but take care as snakes are more abundant especially in the spring and summer.

This is good place for wild bird photographers and bird watchers. Also several western grey kangaroos are seen.

Visit link: (visit link) for further information.

This is another one that will be a good excuse for those who has been visited nearby the cache (GCJX34), to visit here once again to enjoy the scenery.

Park car at 32°09.583S / 115°49.701E and go through the pedestrian access gate of the vermin-proof fence. Follow the vehicle/walking track until GPS indicating point and 2 of them you will use roo tracks (Please do not use bush crossing). Walk distance: approx less than 3 kms round trip.

Clues are on the CD jewel case and rest of metal tags that are on the trees. Co-ords can be difficult to be obtained due to the tree cover at 2 or 3 waypoints.

2nd waypoint: hundreds of kangaroos can be seen - best time at around 4.00pm at their meal time or early in the morning.

Between 2nd and 3rd waypoint: waterbirds can be seen.

Final cache is in an Ammo box with usual goodies. Please hide it well afterward. Thank you.

Enjoy…
