We spent a two weeks hollidays in the village of Tourbes, just
about 5 kilometres distance from the beautifull city of Pezenas. We
made 5 of the 6 caches in the radius of 70 kilometres and we
decided to place a seventh here in the Langoudoc
It is a easy multi and you can do it on foot in about an
hour.

Now walk direction Centre Ville on the main road.on the way to
the big church you will be able to find out the next two
coordinates:
3. you will pass the Degustation of the wine makers.
How many humans you see on the mosaic on the huge tank ??

4. you will pass a playground. It is called “Esplanade
René Giraud” René Girauld was Major of Tourbes he lived from
19F0 to 1967.

Now you should reach the church of Tourbes. Have a look to the
wall of the main entrance.(The wall with the round window)
5. One cross is on top on the roof. ( do NOT count this cross
!!!!!!!)

Behind you, you should see the arms of Tourbes (in a size of a
shoe carton)

Enter the street “Tour de Caves” starting at the
monument direction “Mairi” >Follow the street.
Between House numbers 30 and 39 you will see a house with a
large “Occitania Cross”
9. What is the housenumber of this Occitanian house ??

Follow this street, at the T-Junction you have to turn to the
right. At Housenumber 21 an other major of Tourbes lived in the
past.He also was president in one year
10. Take the third digit of this year = D

Follow the road and you will reach the Church again. Maybe you
will have a coffee at the café of Tourbes, because now you have to
puzzle out the coordinates of the cache:

Go to the Boucherie beside the church and from here follow your
GPS to the cache.
You should find a 2 litre Tupper box, which we filled with some
gimmicks

After doing this cache we highly recomment to visit the old town
of Pezenas. If you just pass Pezenas by car you will miss the
pittoresque mediaval center of the town, where Moliere spent about
seven years getting famous here in the former capital of Midi
Small note on cache maintenance: I am in contact
with a guy in Tourbes who is looking after the holiday house when
we, or a friend of ours who owns the house, is absent. I showed
him, where I hid the cache, and it would be only a short phonecall
from Germany to France to get a confirmation what happens, if
someone isnt able to find it. However I think the guy will also
check the cache himself from time to time because he is very
interested in the logbook to see if someone has logged
it.
