Overlooked? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

IronHorseReviewer: Greetings from Geocaching.com

It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from hiding new geocaches around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Therefore we are archiving this cache so that someone else can place a cache in the area and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. If you haven't done so already, please pick up any remaining cache pieces as soon as possible.

If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival, and I will assist you in getting your cache re-listed if possible.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and look forward to seeing your caches up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Creasy-Mahan Nature Preserve.

Park @ N38 24.181/W085 35.218.

You will note the trail opposite the playground equipment in the corner of the property. Please note: motorized vehicles and bicycles are not permitted at this nature preserve. Further, dogs must be leashed at all times (and be sure to pack a plastic bag to clean up after them). The trails going back to the cache can be slick after moist or inclimate weather.

This one should be a quick find for the experienced geocacher and also for a newcomer alike as it is placed alongside a maintained trail within the preserve.

Original cache contents include a deck of cards, Friday's appetizer coupon, Mickey Mouse clock, charm bracelet charm, Santa Claus necklace, bottle opener, strawberry pin, soccer ball, and a log book and pencil.

Please be certain to log this cache in a very inconspicuous manner as these trails can be busy during peak hours. This will deter the would-be geo-muggler from finding and potentially destroying/removing the cache. Also, as always, be sure to re-hide the cache in the same manner that you found it!!

Once you've enjoyed the wonderful trails that this preserve has to offer, take the kids over to the playground equipment or pack a soccer ball along and shoot a few shots on net. There are oodles of wide open spaces that can be utilized for just about any outdoor activity that you can imagine. In addition, there are several picnic tables that can be used for a pleasant lunch.

Be sure to find/log the "Repair the Raptors", and "Webbed!" caches (all regular traditional) also located within this nature preserve as well!! The distances between caches in this preserve are decievingly long as you aren't able to walk directly from one to another without exploring a new trail and going a little bit out of the way. ENJOY!!
