West Point - The Unofficial Tour (Bring a photo ID, have your car searched or call Anne @ 845-446-1575 for help in entry to the post.)
West Point is the 2nd most visited site in New York State. When tourists come to West Point, they may take a tour bus to all the familiar stops: Visitor’s Center; Trophy Point; Cadet Chapel; Eisenhower Hall; Michie Stadium; West Point Museum; Fort Putnam; Washington Statue; Eisenhower Statue; etc. You don’t need a GPS to find these spots. They are prominent, evident, and usually crowded with tourists. (For more information call the Visitors Center at (845) 938-2638).
This is NOT that tour! This is the UNOFFICIAL tour of West Point. All the spots you won’t see with a tour guide dragging you around. This is the underground tour, the hidden-gems tour with easy-to-find sites using a GPS. We tried to arrange the sites so that you can find parking (#001) and then wander to nearby sites. This cache will be continuously updated with new sites as I find them or as they are built. From each site you can obtain the answer to one of the questions below. Email the answers with their corresponding number and if you get them all correct I will send you a free souvenir from West Point.
