The cache was originally part of Popeye2's Terrain Challenge series. While the cache itself is located along an edge of Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve, the closest parking lots are along Alpine Road (for Russian Ridge Open Space). Of course, perhaps that's not where you want to start? I have visited this cache starting from three different parks, so the options abound.
No matter which way you approach, you can expect a little bit of climbing over things and perhaps some bush/vine whacking. But as bushwhacking goes, the easiest approach isn't worse than a 5/10, despite what the logs imply. I ventured to the area almost five years after the last finder and lived to tell the tale. And since I'd already found it, it's still a lonely, lonely cache.
