This cache has three stages. The coordinates are stamped on copper tags. The final cache is in a lock 'n lock with camo tape and has plenty of goodies for all ages to choose from. Do not confuse this cache with a letterbox that is a short distance away.
This multicache starts off by taking you along the hay fields of the former Long Acre Farm. It has been in agriculture for over 300 years and during it's prime, produced over 1000 tons of hay annually.
Next you will see a dam and stone raceway, all that remains of a grist mill owned by Joshua Morse as early as 1771. In the 1800's Henry Partridge purchased the grist mill and a nearby cut-nail mill and created a successful factory that for over two decades produced hay and manure pitchforks, shovels, spades and hoes.
The area has 1.5 miles of easy hiking trails. You will probably hear hawks screeching, hear blue jays along with a wide variety of other birds calling to welcome you, and quite possibly run into a family of deer looking for dinner.
