Geocache Description:

This 35mm cannister size cache is located via the boardwalk at Oso Flaco in Guadalupe - Nipomo Dunes Preserve. The parking fee is $5.00 and can be easily avoided by parking infront of Arnold's guard shack, no girly men there, but have seen manly girls :~).

is found near Oso Flaco Lake. This natural environment is an ornithologicist's dream, well that is if you're a bird watcher! Nearing dusk you may also see a raccoon or two wandering around acting like they own the place, there is a sign posted to remind folks that raccoons are wild animals and not to be feed or approached.

The terrain includes a sand & gravel walkway that approaches a great boardwalk which extends over the water for viewing the various birds that stop during their aerial treks to enjoy the lagoon. Bring a camera! If you continue on past the cache, the walkway will turn to soft sand, and will take you all the way to the beach. There are usually not many people there, so a walk in solitude can be enjoyed... While you are there also visit GCJJNB, GC1H6EW, GCKH9B, and GC1PDNJ if you're up for a four-fer!

You will not have to leave the boardwalk to grab this, but you may have to stoop some, so there is no need to step off into the shrubbery or sand.
