Geocache Description:

Located across Highway 31 from Bear Creek Campground, and in the canyon adjacent to Bear Creek Canyon.

I placed this cache near Bear Creek Campground, which is my favorite camping spot for the cooler months (fall through spring), but it can get rather hot here in the summer. The cache is a short, relatively easy 0.3-mile hike from the road. A good place to park is at the entrance to the campground (N 39°23.576' W 111°05.948'), and the best place to begin the hike is at N 39°23.590' W 111°05.893'. The cache container is a piece of 2" PVC pipe, 6" long, and contains only a log and a pen--there is very little room for trade items.
