Geocache Description:

Located in a great small park with lots of large trees!

This cache is located in the very nice area of Sanford Village. It is the Midland County Veterans Memorial Park. There are 130 acres here to hike and bike around! There is a must see bridge that connects the north and south sides of the park. It crosses the Teed Drain that empties into the nearby Tittabawassee River. I am glad the bridge held up during the recent floods! Parking is at the South Parking lot. Off of Cole Road to Neiner Road. Park at N 43 40.499 W084 23.928 Hit the Veterans Grove Trail loop . This park has some orginal Red and White pines! Be sure and look for them. The cache is not too far off the Veterans Grove Trail. It is a green amo box, packed with goodies. There is a first finders prize of five lucky instant Michigan Loto Tickets. Be sure and hit the Original Pines cache also! #GCJM8P. Stay on the loop path and cross the nice bridge. If you bushwack you may get stuck in muck, depending on the time of the year. (It is not very far, if you stay right on the nice path.) Note: No need to cross pass the Yellow Firing Range sign. It states: Fireing Range ! (Don't enter this area, I would not do so!)

New for 2006: An Arizonia Geocoin. Please keep at this site and log it if you wish to. But, Keep it at THIS Cache. Thanks!

Watch for barb wire along the old, old , fence line. It is now sticking out of the ground.
It is fun in winter: Quiet.
