North Timber Creek Traditional Cache

You are looking for a camo painted ammo can that is well hidden. If you feel uncomfortable parking along the highway, (which is a much shorter hike), you can park at N39 13.255 - W096 58.392 you will have a hike of just under 1 mile round trip.

The walk should not be extremely strenuous, but you should be aware of your surroundings. When I placed the cache, in mid September I did not notice very much Poison Ivy, that does not mean there isn’t any here, just be careful. While placing the cache a flock of Canadian Geese flew over and landed below the bluff. I was able to get a couple of pictures, and I would advise to bring your camera along too. You never know what you might see. This is a very popular place for Eagles during the fall and winter months as they follow the migrating waterfowl through this area.

The cache container is well hidden even though there is hardly any foot traffic around here; I wanted to make this a challenge. The usual items are included in the cache as well as some trinkets for trade. Good luck, have fun and as always Cache Safely!
