Mongo: ### ARCHIVE OF GEOCACHE DUE TO LACK OF MAINTENANCE BY THE OWNER ###

Greetings twilight rabbit,

I hate to see any cache go, but I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from, nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

CACHE ARCHIVAL IS PERMANENT

Geocaches not maintained by the owner will still be archived even when a throwdown container has been left. Ownership Regarding Throwdowns

Regretfully,
Mongo

Geocache Description:

Easy find in a small roadside park.

This cache is a part of a series of caches in a very historic part of the state-but it doesn't get visited very often because it is "a little ways from everywhere"!If you find all 5 of the caches, you will also find some very interesting bits of history. The cache is a small round metal container about 3" in diameter. It should be an easy find so use your extra time to read about the history of this immediate area.Another site worth a stop is just 100 yards east of this one. Take a look. When standing here it is hard to believe that this used to be a very busy river and railroad center--and now there is NOTHING here.Because of the size, this cache is one of those "BYOPOPs". (bring your own pencil or pen)Sign the log and then hop on over to Stop #2 if you want to do the series of 5. Stop #2 is 7.5 miles from here and takes you through some of the best cropland in the U.S!!!Thousn' bushels 'n acre corn "they say". Course, you know what they say 'bout those people that say those things!!! But it is great cropland.
