Geocache Description:

Placed at a fortress from early 20th century.

Cachen är placerad vid Måndalsfortet, ett värn tillhörande Stockholms Fasta försvar,
eller "Korvlinjen" som den också kallades. Detta byggdes upp under början av 1900-talet.
Många spår av detta finns runt om i Stockholm men ingår inte längre i någon militär plan.

Måndalsfortet är en av de mest utbyggda och skulle bemanna 120 man och hade plats
för 4 kulsprutor. Fortet består av flera delar, och de är öppna för den som vill gå in
i dess vindliga gångar.

Fler spår av en sydlig försvarslinje finner man längs med sjössystemet mellan Drevviken
och Tyresö-Flaten, både stora och små.

Gömman är placerad vid en av de övre delarna, men missa INTE huvudfortet som ni
hittar 25m sydost ner mot sjön vid N59 12.914 E18 13.195

En annan gömma, South side defence II, är placerad vid Gammelströmsfortet (GCKHE3).

This cache is hidden at an old fortress, Måndalsfortet, from early 20th century. It is
part of an defence line around Stockholm that no longer is used, also called "Sausage line".
Måndalsfortet is one of the largest and was built for 120 men and 4 machine guns.
The fortress is built in several parts and is possible to take a long walk inside.

There are more remains of a defence line along this waterline from Drevviken to
Tyresö-Flaten.

The cache is placed at the one at the top. DON'T miss the mainpart of the fortress a
little bit south-east, towards the lake, at N59 12.914 E18 13.195.

Another cache, South side defence II, is placed at Gammelströmsfortet (GCKHE3).
