A Place to Grow Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

In 1970, Iowa’s Governor Robert Ray developed the state slogan "Iowa - a place to grow". It was represented by a four leaf clover. It is no longer Iowa’s state slogan but is one most Iowans recall. Many companies in the area near this cache are dependent on agriculture so the original trinkets in this cache relate in some fashion to Iowa, agriculture, or to growing things. This theme gives us a wide variety of goodies to swap, considering its varied meanings could be applied to 4-H, FFA, agriculture, gardening, or even people.

The cache is located just off a hard surfaced trail. All except for the last few feet are handicap accessible. There are little or no noxious weeds (poison ivy) in the area of the cache. And, there is excellent cell phone coverage in the area for anyone who doesn’t want to be “out of touch”.

Look for a standard ammo box. Watch out for muggles as the trail is very visible from the cache site. The entire trip should be less than 1 mile but please continue the walk or ride and enjoy the trails.

There are several places you could park and we’ve given the coordinates for 3:
Parking #1: N 41 40.144, W093 42.814
Parking #2: N 41 40.166, W093 43.010 (The first part of trail is a grass covered path.)
Parking #3: N 41 39.699, W093 43.292
