The "Whispering Winds" cache is located on a hiking trail along the Bonnechere River. The trail is marked from the road with a post that has a pine cone carved into it. The trail is pretty steep at some points, but it is less than 1 kilometer long.
Keep and eye out for the trail marker along the side of the road. If you've hit the Algonquin Park boundary, you have gone too far. The trail is very well marked and ends at a peak that overlooks the Bonnechere River and several of the lakes that it feeds. It is a great place to get photos, so bring your camera. Kids eight years old and up should not have any problems with this hike. Be sure to not let them get too close to the edge of the peak; it is not super-steep, but better safe than sorry.
