Since it appears that many cachers love park and grabs, I decided
to create a series of them in the Loves Park area.
Martin Park is a relatively large park located along the Rock
River. The seven mile long Rock River Recreation Path goes through
the park. The park also has a modern style childrens playground,
boat landing and is a popular spot for fishermen.
The micro cache (typical container) is placed where it cannot be
seen by the casual observer but yet is only a few feet from the
Recreation path. It contains only the log sheet and a pencil (and a
coin for the FTF).
Cache is a urban, lunchtime cache, available year around
and is within a short distance of the main parking lot. Due to the
fact that the cache is near the river and bicycle users frequent
the rec path, children should be supervised when hunting for the
cache. NOTE: The cache is NOT in the boat landing or on the river
bank.
NOTE: The local retirees that frequent the nearby picnic table at
lunch time & early afternoon know about the cache.
I have raised the difficulty level on this cache. You may have
to be very stealth at some times of day or season due to the
popularity of this park. While you are in the area, there is a
second PNG cache about a mile to the east in Wantz Park.
