Cache is located in the weeds alongside the carpooling lot at the intersection of I-96 and I-69, northeast of Grand Ledge MI.
This is my first attempt at hiding a cache, so I didn't try anything too elaborate. It's an easy "cache and dash". Everything in it has been recycled or used in some manner except for the notebook. The cache contains a toothbrush, a fishing bobber, a whistle, a golf ball, a pull tab from a zipper, 2 pencils, and a spark plug. Even the container is recycled. The container is a nalgene water bottle about 10 inches high and 4 inches in diameter, spray-painted a dark green color.
Update: I replaced the container with a 1 gallon plastic tub. The old water bottle was jammed full, and it was hard to get items in and out.
And since this is at the crossroads of 2 interstate highways, it would make a good TB hotel. The lot is not huge, however, so it would be difficult to maneuver a vehicle towing a trailer into and out of this lot.
2nd update: Someone has placed a couple of buckets of clothes about 15 feet from the cache. They are wrapped up in white plastic. This is NOT the cache! And since they seem to be ignoring the cache, I ask cachers to do the same and ignore their stuff. The cache is practically invisible from the spot where the buckets are stashed, so the owner may not even know that it's there.
3rd update: I moved the cache about 200 feet from the original location, due to some tree trimming going on there. The coordinates above are correct. Several people have commented that the difficulty rating seems low given the forest of man-eating weeds one must cross, so I bumped the terrain rating up a bit.
