Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of caches around the Midsouth that hopefully will introduce you to communities and history you might not have previously been familiar with.

This cache is located in a little park in the historic section of Rossville, TN. This part of town is a charming surprise just north of HWY 57 in Fayette County. Take time to see all the many historic houses. There are several places to sit a while in this nice little park, or read about Rossville military history at a plaque NW of the cache site. Travel a mile to the north to a nature preserve along the Wolf River, then come have a bite to eat at the Wolf River Cafe. I like it.

The posted coordinates will take you a structure in the middle of this park. The log-only micro is hidden somewhere in/on this structure. This is a highly visible place, so be discreet and re-hide the cache well!

Rossville has changed much in the last couple of years. You'll see plenty of evidence of new home construction not too far from the square, with "authentic" and "historic" combined in the same description. I fear this little town will change a lot more in years to come, but I do hope they preserve some of the gentle feel of the place.
