Rana Pirica: Hello,

It is Rana Pirica, the geocache maintenance frog, once again hopping through your area to check on geocache maintenance.

Since there has been no owner activity on this cache page and it has been over 30 days since the request to perform maintenance, this cache has been archived. Please remove any remaining cache components if you have not already done so. If there are questions about the archival or if you would like it to be re-considered for listing please e-mail me or your local reviewer in response to this archival, and we will help to unarchive your cache if possible. I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and look forward to seeing your further participation in the future.

Sincerely,

Rana Pirica

Geocache Description:

This cache has been hidden to recognize the Trans Canada Trail system and the efforts of many individuals, corporations and organizations who have donated and supported the world’s largest trail.

The Trans Canada Trail is a multi-use Canada-wide system of trails. Support for this trail system began in 1992 during Canada’s 125th anniversary. The target completion date for the entire system is 2010. In Alberta, there is a Northern Trail that passes through Edmonton, and a Southern Trail that passes through Calgary. Per capita, Albertans have led all other Canadian provinces in donations to support the trail. A Trail Pavilion has been erected in Edmonton, Calgary, Athabasca, and Medicine Hat, showing the names of Albertans who have supported the trail system.

Visit www.tctrail.ca to see how you can support this trail. You can even "purchase" a metre of trail and have your name permanently inscribed on the Pavilion of your choice.

The cache is located just off the Trans Canada Trail near Edmonton’s Trail Pavilion. The cache is a micro magnetic container, is well hidden, and has a pencil but no sharpener. There are no items to trade. This area is very busy, so please be careful when retrieving and re-hiding the cache.
