This walk takes you up the Murrayshall Hill, at the back of the Golf Driving Range. Pick up the start of the track at co-ords N56.24.917, W003.22.284, OSG NO155 256. Here you will see a border of mature oak trees leading upwards, and a metal gate to go through.
Follow the tractor path upwards then follow a footworn grassy track up to McDuff's romantic ruined folly. From here you have fine views of Scone and Perth. Look out for the familiar red Fly Algaric mushrooms along the way, hidden amongst the grass and heather.
Then take the track towards your left up to the Monument. There is a stile to cross, and it can get boggy here so boots advised. Continue up the very narrow track to the top of the hill. Here from the summit you can see views all around Perthshire and beyond, the cache is not far from the monument.
Cache box is only small, and contains:
Mini stencils/Screwdriver/Smiley stretchy man/Wobbly Bear/Beer bottle opener/Highlighter pen/Laces/Sewing threads/Erasers.
