The cache is accessible using the Halifax Trail, which originates at Scarlet Oak Pond and ascends along the southeastern slope of Monroe Ridge. Nearby, along Halifax Trail is an overlook named "Hawk Rock". This vantage point affords wonderful scenic views of the immediate Ramapo River valley below. Hawk Rock is a precipice with a seriously dangerous, steep drop-off! **PLEASE OBSERVE CAUTION HERE**
The geocache container is a camoflaged .30 cal ammo box. Please take care and return cache conatiner to it's original stasis, so that other cachers may enjoy the hunt as much as you have. And please, watch your step.
Park entrance is on Route 202, approximately 0.35 miles south of Ramapo State College.
In fairness to others, please don't post spoilers, tracks or hints in your logs. Thank you. This is my first cache, Enjoy!
